Sunsets at Sea

One of my favorite things we did on our recent cruise to the Bahamas was watching the sunsets at sea. Each evening, after exploring the ports all day, we’d find a quiet place on a mid-deck to have a drink and watch the sunset. We were lucky enough to have beautiful weather and pretty skies the entire time. I thought I’d share a few of the many sunset photos I took from the Norwegian Sky last month.

Tips for watching sunsets at sea

If you have a balcony room, that’s obviously a great place to watch the sunset if it faces the correct side. If not, I recommend finding a place on a mid-deck. Our spot was on deck six of the Norwegian Sky. We usually had the area to ourselves. It also had easy access to a bar inside which is always important. The top decks are nice, but the drawbacks are more wind and more crowds. 1. I completely agree. After a day of touring your port of call, the sights, sounds, and smells, the laziness of some, the hustle and bustle of others, coming back to the ship and getting ready for the evenings events (that should always begin)with a beverage of your choice, a lounge chair at the rail and 30 minutes of peaceful beauty watching the sunset. Regardless of how many days you are at sea, no two sunsets will ever be the same, one just as beautiful and calming as the next. Though I know it is early, sunrises can be a beautiful and invigorating way to begin your day as well. Cruising is the best way to vacation.

  2. I love sun-sets a lot. They energize me and change my mood.
Nice article. Thanks for sharing 😀
Moreover, the font you are using on this website is too good.

  3. This makes me miss my Caribbean sunsets – not so great here in Dublin but hoping to get to the coast later this week to check out some sunsets over the Atlantic. Donegal is a grand place to see wonderful sunsets, of course its a hell of a lot colder…lol…
